"Bèbette, whose real name is Bernadette, found herself very much alone because of the lockdown and the pandemic. A forced isolation, to preserve her health. I thought to myself that the elderly are often forgotten in our western societies. Yet they are our history, our experience, our wisdom. This is how this sculpture was born, inspired by the courage of Bèbette."
