"This sculpture is in a way the counterpart of the one I called "To make speak what is not" because both materialize the impalpable. Here, it is the cigarette smoke that takes shape. But the temporal dimension is just as tangible. This sculpture is a freeze frame that suspends the passage of time and the presence of several butts symbolizes the long moments spent around this ashtray."
