"My idea was to create a sculpture whose volume would be determined by a subject that would be absent. I then imagined representing a person sitting cross-legged, under a blanket, and erasing this person to keep only his silhouette. Some will see it as an allegory of a deceased person whose body disappears but whose memory persists."
